As soon as my husband & I found out we were expecting the arrival of a baby girl in December 2021, I started planning a Halloween-themed baby shower.
I designed my invitations and welcome sign and had them printed by 48 Hour Print and Staples. (Ghost inspo from the talented Chloe and Landy on Etsy.) The poster display holder was made by the help of my mom with cutting pieces of PVC pipe and spray painting them black. When I ordered the foam board poster from Staples, I had them attach grommets to it as well in order to secure it to the stand.
The whole theme was based on Halloween, just on the pinker side in honor of our baby girl on the way! All guests including myself wore black and the photos turned out amazing. Here are just a few!

It’s All About The Details!
I am not one who can be surprised by their shower, I had to be the one planning 🙂 When I say I spent months preparing for this baby shower, I mean months. Since the summer I’ve been brainstorming, crafting and preparing for this day.
For the diaper raffle, I purchased a plain white pumpkin from Michael’s and painted it to match my theme.
The seating chart, I printed the 4 tables and placed them in a collage frame I purchased from Amazon.
I highly recommend asking for people’s baby predictions and advice. You get some funny ones and I can’t wait to see who comes closest! I designed these jackolanterns and then hot glued pink and black bows on them.
I found the cute, pink skeleton hands in a shape of a heart at Michael’s and then with my Cricut, I printed the dates on mine and Kev’s Halloween photos from when we were younger.
I was super happy with how the place cards turned out. I originally wanted to use rose bud vases but they got pricey quickly! When I found these spice jars I knew they would work perfectly. I filled each with pink and black candy, used my Cricut to cutout everyone’s name and placed a black or pink rose in each

To keep up with the unfortunate times, I had mini Purell hand sanitizers all around the event. I designed and added cute labels that said “scare the germs away” that I created with my Cricut as well.
I found the cutest black arch signs on Etsy and had two created. One that said “baby making potions (boos)” for near the bar and one “no tricks, just tricks (desserts)” for the dessert table. I highly recommend this seller as she was so easy to work with & provided quality items in a timely manner. What more could you ask for!?
Knowing we are having a girl, I found this “ghouls just wanna have fun” pumpkin. It had orange writing when I purchased at Michael’s so I picked up some pink paint and made it match the theme.
Table Decor
So happy with how the table centerpieces turned out the day of my shower. The pink velvet pumpkins were a great find & really added to the centerpieces! Basically anything Halloween that was either black or pink was purchased either from Michael’s, Home Goods or Amazon.

No Tricks, Just Treats – Desserts
A dessert bar is a must for every momma to be. The cake was almost too cute to eat, the cookies were adorable, the donuts were to die for and the caramel/rice crispy candies were delicious. Every vendor was amazing to work with & made everything delicious.

A must for my shower was also including my dog, Miss Brady, without her actually being there. (Venue rules) I had her designed as a cartoon with a “big sister” bandana, printed her life size on foam board, cut her out and created a stand with black roses to go along with the theme. She was a big hit!
Fringe Wall Backdrop

This fringe wall turned out exactly how I wanted but also took days to complete. I will create another post on the details soon! The pink and black stacked jackolanterns was a wood find from Michaels that I again painted to match the theme. And how cute is that ghost ballon!
The day was perfect and I cannot wait for our baby girl to be surrounded by all of this love! Thank you to everyone who celebrated our little boo with us.

Cannot thank my mom enough for hosting the best baby shower for my soon to be daughter and I. Thank you to my mother in law as well for all of the delicious desserts. We love you Grammie & Gigi!
