There’s nothing better than planning an event for someone so deserving of celebrating all weekend long. I’ve always loved planning events & when my best friend, Jaime, asked me to be her MOH (matron of honor, but that makes me sound so old HA), I knew planning her bachelorette was going to be one of my duties & I was BEYOND excited.
She chose the Hamptons & what weekend she wanted to go & the rest was left up to me to organize for the group. If you’re unfamiliar with “Summer in a Bottle,” the Wölffer Estate Vineyard in New York creates a really fun wine label so I ran with that & rose gold as her theme.
We booked a gorgeous home through Airbnb in Sag Harbor, New York. I always pick an Airbnb rental for a large group of people!
Friday night we had a great dinner at the Southampton Social Club & it was deliciousss. They had a pre-fix menu option where everyone got to choose their own entree & then all appetizers & desserts were served family style. This is also a great place to go for dinner because they have a DJ come in at 9:30 & you can purchase bottle service at a table or head to the bar. Although it was a little chilly the night we went, there is also a huge outdoor area.
I cannot say enough good things about the winery day we booked through Elegant Wine Tours of LI. (Just to set things straight, it may be called a wine tour but there is no tour. Just lots & lots of tastings! & I’m not complaining) We had a group of 8 total & booked the Cabernet Package to visit 3 wineries on a Saturday & it was the best day ever. With our Sag Harbor Airbnb being an hour away from the wineries we wanted to visit, this company still picked us up for an additional $100 which was really exciting because after much research, these were the wineries that were going to be perfect for our group.
At 10:30AM, a super nice man named Ray came to pick us up in a gorgeous limo. He was literally the best & we knew very quickly this was not his first rodeo with a group of girls getting wine drunk. He kept us on track of time all day, set up lunch at the picnic table of our choice at the 2nd winery, took a zillion pictures for us & even took us to a McDonald’s after leaving the last winery to use the bathroom since the line was so long at the winery.
As we arrived at each winery, Ray would walk in & get us 4 tickets for 4 tastings each. Every winery was set up differently so I’ll walk through each experience below!
1ST STOP: LENZ WINERY
It goes without saying that all of these wineries are gorgeous. Lenz Winery was a sit down experience where a sommelier came to our table & our bride got to choose what we were going to taste as a group.
2ND STOP: DUCK WALK VINEYARDS
Duck Walk Vineyards had a bar on the inside & Ray had set up a cute little lunch for us at a picnic table outside.
3RD STOP: PUGLIESE VINEYARDS
Pugliese Vineyards was all outdoors, had a live band & our table sat under the most gorgeous vines.
After our gorgeous day of wine tasting came to an end, we didn’t know how everyone would be feeling so I planned a Pizza & PJs party back at our house & just drank, danced and swam the night away. A lovely lady in our group made us all wine themed bachelorette tanks for the PJ party which unfortunately we have no pictures of because, well it was the end of the night after 3 wineries 🙂 They were super cute and here were the sayings we used:
BRIDE: Bride on cloud wine
Hit me baby, one more wine (Mine, because… Britney Spears)
Sweet child of wine
I make pour decisions
More wine, less whine
Partners in wine (Twice for the twins!)
When there’s a wine, there’s a way
A bachelorette must:
The cutest wine & “vino before vows” stickers for mints, Sugarfina, sunglasses & wine glass tumblers. Each person also received a spiral wine glass stem marker for real wine glasses.
We had such a fun weekend & it was so easy to plan for my bestie who gets married NEXT MONTH. Love yah Jaim!
